Welcome to Création Africa: Empowering Cultural and Creative Entrepreneurs in Tanzania.
CREATION AFRICA
Création Africa is an initiative funded by the French Embassy in Tanzania and coordinated by the Alliance Française in Dar es Salaam. Its main objective is to empower artists and organizations that form Tanzanian Cultural and Creative Industries by offering tailored resources and guidance to meet their specific needs.
In its second year, the program has expanded significantly, increasing the number of beneficiaries from 6 to 12 organizations. By providing grants and capacity-building opportunities, Création Africa helps local artists and cultural organizations develop their projects in sectors such as music, audiovisual, fashion, visual arts, live performance, and stand-up comedy.
As part of a broader initiative by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs deployed across several African countries, Création Africa aims to strengthen the link between culture, creativity, entrepreneurship, and sustainable economic growth. In the long term, Création Africa supports the strengthening of the cultural sector as an economic sector of its own in Tanzania.
