DELF PRIM (Kids : 7-12 years old) is the first level in the DELF/DALF series of certifications.
Getting the DELF PRIM diploma will encourage and motivate your child in learning French.
The exercises in the “Prim” version include only topics that would interest the youngest age group. This is because the DELF exams evaluate communication skills. A young pupil will be given a context in which they can more easily respond in the “Prim” version; they are thus able to demonstrate all of their competencies to the assessors.
The DELF “Prim” diploma has the same value as the DELF “tout public” and “junior/scolaire” versions of the diploma. The type of exam is not indicated on the diploma.

DELF JUNIOR (Teens : 13 - 16 years old) is the first level in the DELF/DALF series of certifications.
Depending on the level achieved, the DELF can facilitate acceptance to university in France, Europe or a French-speaking countries and to some grandes écoles universities. The DELF "junior" is aimed at adolescents, both foreigners and French, who want to improve their French language skills.
The "junior" version implies that only themes of interest to young people are included in the exercises. Indeed, the DELF exams assess communication skills. A young learner will be placed in a context that will make it easier for him/her to react in the "junior" version; he/she will thus be able to demonstrate all his/her skills to the evaluators.
The DELF diploma for the "junior" version has the same value as a diploma for the "general public" adult version. The exam version is not indicated on the diploma.
