Plus, don’t miss the final days of Vifichwavyo, a photography tribute to the invisible strength of Tanzanian women by Gertrude Malizeni.

From the global sounds of Stone Mosabu and Afro-soul rhythms of Koku Gonza, to the high-vibe house of Midimu Collective and the flamenco fire of Anabel Veloso for Spanish Night, each week brings something fresh to the garden. And on Fête de la Musique, we honour the timeless beauty of Taarab in collaboration with BASATA.
📚 Literature Enthusiasts, Kalam Salaam on June 5 is a special tribute to literary giant Ngũgĩ wa Thiong’o, with readings, reflections, and shared memories of his immense contribution to African storytelling.
🎬 Cinephiles, Muvi Kali screens a compelling mix of environmental docs, Swahili dramas, political thrillers, and ZIFF’s opening film, When the Levees Broke. Screenings are hosted both at the Alliance and the Goethe-Institut.
